What initially was a one-off "let's write some noisy shit and see what happens thing"- eventually became probably, the most popular thing I've ever been a part of. Pity we all used pseudonyms. (video captures from a recording session in 1995 right above)

musical history/recordings:

On April 11, 1987-I played my first ever live show (with Evildead) in front of about 2500 crazed thrashers at Fender's Ballroom, in Long Beach on a bill with Possessed, Dark Angel and Cryptic Slaughter- suffice to say I almost crapped my pants...

Evildead- '87-'89 co-founded band with Mel Sanchez (Abattoir)
and Juan Garcia (Agent Steel)
3 song "The Awakening"demo (self released '87)
"Rise Above" ep (SPV/Steamhammer Recs.)/Roadracer Recs. in US.

Fecal Offerings- retarded one-off jokeband with members of Radiation 4, Noctuary and Fetus Eaters.... we recorded about 15 "songs" (and I'm using the term loosely) all pretty much one take and spontaneous- pretty hilarious, considering it turned out half way decent...

Krieg- played drums for a few fests (Texas and New Jersey) and a mini-tour -West Coast War Machine 2003.

Evildead "Rise Above ep", "Annihilation Of Civilization" cd

Life Into Ever Black ep, Shadow Of Ruins, Slaves Of Illusion

In '95 the 1993 Rise 4-song demo was re-pressed by Wild Rags Records and titled "Life Into Ever Black", the debut cd "Shadow Of Ruins" came out in 96 on Nigma Records, and the final recording I did "Slaves Of Illusion" in '98 was issued through a european label Nephilim Records right after I made my exit in 2000. Despite who the cd liner notes say played on it, It was Albert Gonzales and I and we remain uncredited.

Noctuary - For Salvation - When Fires Breed Blood

Noctuary's "For Salvation"- which I initially did as a favor to Joe- (I was very happy in my band RISE at the time- go figure..) that's why I'm listed as a session musician.. The second cd was "When Fires Breed Blood" and that was basically recorded after I officially left Rise. Had I known Joe wanted me as a permanent member- I would of left long before I did...

Las Vegas Fest 2003

My favorite singer ever:

On Thursday May 29th, 1997 at approximately 9: 22 PM Jeff Buckley stopped creating music in this sphere....

Singing Led Zeppelin's " Whole lotta Love" at the top of his lungs while floating on his back in the muddy waters of the Wolf River, a main tributary to the mighty Mississippi, he slipped away, dragged down under the waters. Arguably one of the most gifted song stylists and vocalists of this or any other era, Jeff had the sensibility of a great rock visionary wedded to a rigorous emotional and societal inquiry. Aweing his own generation and in fact any generation of musical afficionado, his vocal intimacy hid little of an artist who lives and explores fear and ecstasy, the fundamental experiences of what it is to be fully human. Jeff loved, breathed all music. He sought the heart of the song.
